Frames are the new "it-decoration object". Really! So, if you have any nice piece stored in some dark corner of your home, go, rescue it and give it a proper place, hanging it on the wall - even if you don't have any photo, draw or poster to put on it!

Swedish design lessons from a swedish institute coffee shop
Be simple:
Be colorful:
Be cosy:
To see this beautiful interior decoration, go to the Swedish Institut (Institut Suédois à Paris) at 11 rue Payenne, Marais. Once there, do not abstain yourself of tasting the sandwiches and cakes made in this lovely kitchen! It opens everyday (except mondays), from 12h to 18h.

Look: this is real classic furniture!
Because today is friday and because I finally realized the huge stock of photos I've already have is that Rua 2 is proudly launching it's Friday Special Post series! (haha, how original!)
To get started, I separated some images of Musée Carnavalet, which is the museum of Paris's history, a place where you can find art, books, objects, mockups and replicas that tell us something about the development of the city and its social habits. Of course, the furniture has an important place in this museum. And, of course, the furniture is my favorite part of the collection!
Almost all this pieces used to decorated the mansions of aristocrats of the city and are a small and priceless sample of the work of craftsmen and woodworkers of the XVII, XVIII and XIX centuries.
